Michael McCormack is a Senior Program Manager serving as SEG’s
New England based lead. Mike serves as a project team
leader for SEG engagements nationally. He is currently
leading exercise and planning teams for a number of SEG client
projects. Mike comes to SEG with a wide range of project
and emergency management experiences.
Beginning in 1997 Mike provided strategic oversight for
municipal government operations in a city of 100,000 residents
as Chief of Staff and Executive Aid to the Mayor of New Bedford,
Massachusetts. While there he served in a number of
positions including Director of Homeland Security, Deputy
Commissioner of Public Safety and Deputy Director of Emergency
Management.
Mike holds certificates as a US Department of Homeland Security
certified Master Exercise Practitioner (MEP) - EMI Professional
Development Series and Homeland Security Exercise Evaluation
Program (HSEEP) and WMD Awareness Level Instructor. He has
completed ICS training through Advanced Level and has actively
participated in the roles of director, player and evaluator in
national, regional and local exercises.
