Scott Brooks Security Program Manager |
'Captain' Brooks has 40 years of public safety and emergency management experience ranging from fire service and EMS functions to law enforcement and emergency management. Captain Brooks recently served as captain and operations commander of the Dartmouth, Massachusetts Police Department where he was directed the day-to-day operations of a 100-member law enforcement agency and coordinated emergency planning functions. Captain Brooks' 31-year law enforcement career has afforded him the opportunity to gain hands on experience in emergency management through the coordination of incidents such as aviation accidents, search and rescue operations and natural disasters, including hurricanes Bob and Gloria. Mr. Brooks also played a large part in the creation The Southeastern Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council's (SEMLEC) search and recovery dive team and served as commander of the team from 2004 through 2006. Mr. Brooks is a lead instructor for the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) teaching NIMS related courses including the Incident Command System through level 400 and Exercise Design. Additionally, he is an instructor with the Massachusetts Municipal Police Training Committee (MPTC). Mr. Brooks also teaches a wide range of subjects including firearms operations and safety, use of force, tactical police operations, and anti-terrorism activities. Scott serves as a senior memeber of the SEG New England team. |
